Open Source
Why open source? Basic idea behind Open Source is, programmer can view, redistribute, modify the source code of any piece of a program. People can read it, improve it and use this code for development of their company. This can happen at a very high speed. Open source software is, the software free to use.
Perl is a general-purpose programming language originally developed for text manipulation and now used for a wide range of tasks including system administration, web development, network programming, GUI development, and more. Perl borrows features from a variety of other languages including C, shell scripting (sh), AWK, sed and Lisp. We have developed small scripts in Perl. There is a broad practical bent to both the Perl language and the community and culture that surround it.
We developed some perl scripts, like Smart HTML - re-writes all tags in html file in lower case, tasklist - script for task management, file trimmer - to reduce size of log file, find and replace - does find and replace recursively in sub directories.
